These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and NepCanora (“we”, “us”, or “our”), the operator of the Platform. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes by email or in-app notice where reasonably practicable.
NepCanora is an online platform that connects members of the Nepali community in Canberra, ACT, with Nepali-run businesses and service providers. The Platform includes a verified business directory, a community events board, business offers and promotions, and an AI-powered chat assistant (“NepCanora AI”) to help users discover businesses, events, and offers. We operate as a listing, discovery, and community information platform only.
NepCanora is not an agent, endorser, guarantor, or representative of any business, event organiser, or service listed on the Platform. We do not verify, warrant, or guarantee the quality, legality, safety, or accuracy of any business, product, service, event, or offer listed. Any dealings between you and a listed business or event organiser are solely between you and that party.
By using the Platform, you confirm that you are:
Businesses listed on the Platform must be lawfully operating in Australia. You must not use the Platform if you are prohibited from doing so under any applicable law.
When using the Platform, you agree to:
If you submit a business listing, you warrant and represent that:
All listings are subject to admin approval before going live. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to reject, remove, or suspend any listing at any time and for any reason, including (without limitation) where the listing violates these Terms, contains misleading information, or is otherwise inappropriate.
Where a listing is rejected, we will endeavour to provide a reason. Rejection of a listing does not create any liability on our part.
You must not submit more than one listing per business. Duplicate listings may be removed without notice.
Publicly Sourced Listings:Some listings on the Platform may have been created by NepCanora using publicly available information (for example, from other public business directories, Google Maps, social media pages, or business websites) for the purpose of building a comprehensive directory of Nepali-run businesses in Canberra. These listings are marked as “unclaimed.” NepCanora makes no warranty about the accuracy of publicly sourced information. If you are the owner of an unclaimed listing and wish to claim, correct, or remove it, please use the claim feature on the Platform or contact us at nepcanoraofficial@gmail.com.
Business owners who are approved on the Platform may publish offers and promotions (“Offers”) on their business listings. By publishing an Offer, the business owner warrants that:
NepCanora is a display platform only and is not a party to any transaction arising from an Offer. We do not verify, guarantee, or warrant the accuracy, value, availability, or fitness of any Offer. Any dispute about an Offer is solely between you and the business owner.
Offers are subject to admin review and may be removed at our discretion at any time, including where they appear misleading or in breach of these Terms.
The Platform includes a community events board where logged-in users may submit events relevant to the Nepali community in Canberra (“Events”). By submitting an Event, you warrant and represent that:
NepCanora is a display and discovery platform and is NOT the organiser, promoter, ticketer, or seller for any event listed on the Platform. The inclusion of an event on the Platform does not constitute our endorsement of that event or its organiser.
Any ticket purchases made through external links (such as those to Eventbrite, Humanitix, or similar platforms) are transactions solely between you and the event organiser or the relevant third-party ticketing provider. NepCanora accepts no responsibility for and has no liability in connection with such transactions, including any refund, cancellation, or dispute arising from them.
NepCanora is not liable for any event being cancelled, postponed, or materially changed, or for any loss, damage, disappointment, or expense arising from attending or not attending any event listed on the Platform.
All Events are subject to admin approval before publication. We may reject, remove, or suspend any Event at our sole discretion, including where the Event is misleading, inappropriate, unlawful, or in breach of these Terms.
Users may submit reviews and other content (“User Content”) on the Platform. By submitting User Content, you:
You retain ownership of your User Content. We do not claim ownership of content you submit.
Submitting false or fabricated reviews is prohibited and may expose you to legal liability under Australian Consumer Law.

We may, at our sole discretion, suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time and without notice if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or if required by law.
You may delete your account at any time via the Profile page on the Platform. Business owners must first remove their business listing before deleting their account — this can be done from the Owner Dashboard. Upon deletion, your account, profile information, and all reviews you have written are permanently removed. Deletion is subject to our data retention obligations under applicable law.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes — for example by email or an in-app notification — where practicable. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Australian Capital Territory and the Commonwealth of Australia. You and NepCanora submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Australian Capital Territory and the Federal Court of Australia.
Before commencing any legal proceedings, you agree to contact us at nepcanoraofficial@gmail.com to attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
